Spencer Brasch: Greatness in the Making

“I will continue to be a great athlete, and even better student in the coming years as I pursue a college education.”

Many may have heard of Gilbert, Arizona because of Highland High School, which groomed some great athletes in both baseball and football. One great to emerge from Highland High is Ryan Fitzpatrick quarterback for the New York Jets.  But just seven miles down the road, on the other side of the Santan Freeway, another athlete is being groomed for greatness. Meet 6’4″, 178lb. Spencer Brasch, a 2019 quarterback from Higley High School.

Spencer has been throwing a football since he was five-years-old. “From day one, I knew I wanted to play quarterback,” says Spencer.  Although he loves the quarterback position, Spencer is able to fit in where his team needs him, including Safety, Wide Receiver, Tight End, Punter and Special Teams.

His dedication can be seen in his athletic regime.  Aside from his regular football practice at school, Spencer works on his footwork three times a week and his strength and conditioning twice a week. On Sunday’s he also works with his QB trainer Chad Carpenter of HIT4Athletes. Carpenter is a former PAC 10 and NFL player.

On the field Spencer’s personal goal is to work his hardest to be the best he can be for his teammates. Off the field he says he will be the nicest he can and will work diligently to receive good grades so that he can continue to play the game he loves.

Spencer has a couple of years left before he starts a new chapter in his life, but his attitude and work ethic today is definitely leading him down the path towards success.
