Sean Kuhn is Finishing Out Strong

“I believe I am capable of improving each year and want to take these God given bilities to the next level.”

Although he is still undecided about what he will major in, Senior DE/TE Sean Kuhn knows he will be on someone’s college campus next fall. He also has the dream of continuing his football career once he is there. “I do not want my football career to end in high school I would like to continue my love for the game into college.” Sean has already visited both small and large colleges, but he says the most important thing to him is finding sean-kuhn-statsa comfortable fit, one where he feels at home and has a friendly atmosphere.  With two scholarship offers already on the table, from Army West Point and Valparaiso, Sean is looking to receive a few more before the end of the season. He has attended recruiting camps at schools like Wisconsin, Northern Iowa, Western Michigan, Iowa State and Eastern Illinois which he says has added a competitive edge to his training.

As one of the leading tacklers on the defensive line this year and a team captain, Sean’s goal is to play each game at 100% and never give up. He was also chosen for the BOOM Academy lineman team this past off season. Yorkville High’s head coach Dan McGuire says that it’s Sean’s commitment to being the best that makes him a stand-out athlete. “I have played and started at the varsity level since my freshman year,” he says. “The one thing my coaches rely on me to do is to play hard. I believe I play 100% each game.”

Sean is definitely committed and as far as his expectations for the rest of his season, he says he wants to finish out strong and to make his family proud. No matter where he ends up next fall, we’re certain that he’ll excel both on and off of the field.
