2018 Sean McDermott

I’m a Senior at Wasilla High School, located in Wasilla Alaska, class of 2018. I’ve been playing the sport of football since 5-years old, and I plan to keep playing for as long as my body will allow me to. I plan to major in Business Communications and Journalism, while minoring in Psychology.

Why I Grind

I grind because being in the Alaska I want to show the world I can make it to the next level regardless of the exposure limitations we have up here. I also grind because I feel I have something to prove not just to myself but my friends and loved ones, especially my family. I grind because I don’t want to be the average player who stops their tracks right after high school, I want to grind in the classroom and on the field to better my life for myself in the future. I have the mentality of “why not me?”
