2018 Alex Wise

WHY I GRIND

My name is Alex Wise and I am a 6’2″ senior attending Brennan High School in San Antonio, Texas. I am a dedicated, respectful, committed and hard-working young man who gives a 100% every day on the field, off the field and in the classroom. I currently maintain a 3.5 GPA and even excel in my pre- AP subjects. During my junior year, I was unanimously selected to All District 1st team. This season, I have been selected to play in the Blue-Gray game representing the West, which will be held at Cowboys stadium on December 17th. I have also been selected to participate in the 2018 San Antonio Sports All-Star football game on January 6, 2018.

Jimmy V. Once said, “Never give up! Failure and rejection are only the first step to succeeding.” As the youngest of three boys, I have always been very competitive. Failure is not an option for me! I continue to push myself to do better every day. During my freshman year, I was one of the captains on the 9th football team where I played wide receiver, quarterback, running back and linebacker! I also played JV basketball and ran track. I believe in giving back and I am very active in my church and currently serve as a Children’s Church teacher and also helped to box food to feed over 10,000 kids in Haiti.

I currently play wide receiver on the Varsity football team and am on the Varsity basketball team. I have started on Varsity football and Varsity basketball since my sophomore year.  I am very capable of competing at the collegiate level. After watching my highlights; I look forward to speaking with you to see how my skills would benefit your program.
