WHY I GRIND
At Anderson High school all the freshmen have to play on the freshman team and I was the starting offensive tackle until I broke my thumb the first game. When I returned I played the first two games with a brace and only gave up one sack and no penalties the whole season. My sophomore year I was the starting tackle on the J.V. team and played every snap. I had a great season and the team finished 5-5 and I had only 2 sacks allowed and 1 penalty. Then my junior year I was the starter for the varsity team and also played every snap with 2 sacks allowed and 3 penalties. Two of the penalties were for lineman downfield because I drove my man too far.
When I was in middle school I also played football in the 7th and 8th grade and was in the National Junior Honors Society. I was accepted into the National Society of High School Scholars my sophomore year. In the summer I volunteer at my local park summer camp and my church youth group. I believe that I have a strong work-ethic, the ability to compete on and off the field at a high level, and have the drive to be successful at everything I do in life.
