Seth Mounts is Cashing in on His Hard Work

He’s a two-time Kentucky state champion, a three-time FBU Team Kentucky selection, Captain of FBU Team Kentucky and three-time State Finals Defensive MVP. He has all of this and has never played in a high school game. Belfry, Kentucky…where everyone loves football and home of eighth grader Seth Mounts. When you’re 6’2″ and 160 pounds, the first question most people ask is “Are you a basketball player?” Seth’s answer is “Yes”. But he’s also plays football, which is the sport he desires to play in college. seth-quote His primary positions are quarterback, strong safety and linebacker. “I like linebacker the most,” he admits. “I love to be up in the front 7 and be physical with lineman and running backs.” And physical he has been, much like his NFL model Luke Kuechly of the Carolina Panthers. “I model myself after Former college football player Luke Kuechly. He’s very physical, he is a fierce competitor, and is a very intelligent football player…all traits that I try to possess while playing football.”    In addition to reeling in 100+ tackles, Seth has also added 950 passing yards and 10 touchdowns, 500 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns and one interception.

The Belfry Middle School Pirates are winners of four consecutive state football championships and have a 2016 record of 12-2. This season the Pirates appeared in their 5th state championship facing off with Lexington Catholic only to lose by two points with a score of 24-22. What a great season it has been for Seth Mounts and his team. But it’s not over yet. Seth has secured an invitation to the NextGen Futures Combine in San Antonio, Texas. The event
