Pat Summit Dead At Age 64
After a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease, today the sports world mourns the loss of longtime basketball coach, Pat Summit. A name that will forever be associated with greatness, Pat established a tradition of winning early on at Tennessee laying claim to the record of the winningest coach in division-1 history. Her hands touched many lives over her 38 year career; a legacy that may never be duplicated. Pat made the most of her 64 years of life by pouring life into others.
Pat died peacefully at Sherrill Hill Senior Living in Knoxville surrounded by those who loved her most.
