Gerald Mitchell New WR Coach at North Gwinnett High School

Coach Gerald “Boo” Mitchell

The Play Book would like to congratulate Coach Gerald “Boo” Mitchell who was announced today as the Varsity Wide Receivers Coach at North Gwinnett High School.  Coach Mitchell joins newly named Head Coach Bill Stewart at North Gwinnett.  Both coaches formerly served on the staff at Mill Creek High School.
Coach Mitchell has coached in the GHSA for sixteen years where he won a State Championship Ring with Peachtree Ridge in 2006.  He has helped many players achieve success in both the NCAA and NFL.  He will begin in his new role at North  Gwinnett in May of this year following the National 7-ON-7 Football season.

Coach Mitchell fans and loyal listeners know him for his rants on his weekly sports talk radio show “Straight From The Hip” on the Play Book Network.

Mitchell said “I’m expecting a very successful season.” North Gwinnett High School is right next door from where I live,  Coach Stewart and I have a great friendship along with a good work history with each other.
