Derrick Tatum is the founder of Elite Talent Football Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. Elite offers a premier football training program for middle and high school football athletes. The program is loaded with talented young athletes desiring to be offered an athletic football scholarship by a D1 college. Before offers happen, Coach Tatum understands he will need exposure for his program.
Gaining exposure sometimes means traveling outside of the city of Atlanta and promoting the Elite Talent brand to college coaches across the country. When The Play Book heard that Coach Tatum would be attending the America Football Coaches Association (www.afca.com) conference in Louisville, KY, Coach Tatum invited The Play Book to travel along. The conference was a great springboard for Tatum’s upcoming Adidas Showcase to be held on February 15, 2015, in Atlanta, GA.
While meeting many of the top college coaches in the country at the conference, Coach Tatum was extremely honored to meet his hero, Penn State Head Football Coach, James Franklin. After spending several days with Coach Tatum, The Play Book observed what drives him and makes him so passionate about providing his athletes with the ultimate level of exposure. It’s not just about getting an athlete recruited but more about building relationships along the way.

Additional Information On Elite Talent Football Academy
We are an Elite program that helps improve an athlete’s performance on the football field. We do position specific drills directly related to playing football. Our program also prepares athletes for combine training which has become a vital part of gaining national exposure. This is just a small portion of what we do. We also help with the recruiting process to help get our Students College Scholarships!
Included in our program we have a Media Class that teaches students how to answer interview questions and how to use Social Media. We also offer a Film Study class that teaches students to watch film. All students within our program will participate in Community Service events once per month to give back to the communities we serve. To top it off we offer SAT/ACT training courses!
