Congrats to Kailee Rash from Ashland, KY

There’s nothing like softball in the  middle of the summer. It’s just something about heading out with your teammates into competition on the diamond. Of course travel ball takes it to an entirely different level. These girls are the best of the best. Most of them work year round  to become the best.

There’s just something else about taking that competition to the road and playing against others that are the best of the best. The road trips……………..the hotel stays…………….the late nights………………the long days……………..the dirt………..the grass……………the sweet………………the hard work……………….the reward……………..the pain of losing……………the joy of winning.

There is probably a lesson to be learned in all of these things, but Ashland Kentucky’s Kailee Rash was the one dishing out the lessons recently.

Rush and the KC Diamond Gems out of Ashland, Ky won the Athens Invitational 18 and under softball tournament in Athens, OH. The Gems went 5-0 and outscored their opponents 52-2 in the process. They won the championship game 9-0 over Hit Squad from Ohio. Kailee finished 10 for 15 with 7 RBI and 8 runs scored, while also flashing her glove in centerfield.

Congrats to Kailee and the Diamond Gems on their victory. This is a grind that you have to respect!
