It’s almost time for the class of 2017 to take that final walk as a high school student athlete. The one thing on upcoming senior Kaemon Dunlap’s mind is how many yards he will accumulate during his last season.
Kaemon’s 2016 season was phenomenal he finished the year with 1267 yards and 15 touchdowns. He plans to move into the next season stronger than ever. “First off it’s so crazy how the years went by so fast,” he says. “That’s what they say high school doesn’t last forever and I feel like I worked really hard to say I haven’t wasted any of my high school years and I’m going to finish my senior year out strong.”
Although the 5’5″ 145lb. running back isn’t very large in stature, he has quick powerful hands and has the ability to score from anywhere on the field. His goal this year is to continue working hard and gain more exposure. With 2,000 yards and over 15 touchdowns on his goal list, he’s destined to gain the looks from college coaches.
So what is Kaemon up to in the off season? He says he’s training hard and working to improve his skill. In addition to attending camps such as Rivals and Nike, he is also receiving personal training. “I play for the Elite 3 Foundation 7v7 and also train with them three times a week,” he stated.
