2019 Owen Papoe from Atlanta, Georgia has had an amazing couple of weeks to say the least. With invites to SEC powerhouses for Junior Day Georgia, Auburn and Tennessee, this young stud is gaining national attention.
Pappoe competed in the Rivals Camp Series in Atlanta and was the only 8th grader to receive an invite. His performance was so impressive he was named a top performer for underclassman. Pappoe is a rare combination of size 6’1 194 speed 4.61and strength 285 bench max as a 14yr old.
The most intriguing thing about Pappoe, he has played football for two years! In today’s age of reclass kids, Pappoe is a true 8th grader. Pappoe played his 8th grade season for the Grayson Rams, he absolutely dominated! His stats 15 carries 581yds 5 TDs, 15 catches 612yds 8 TDs, 1 KR TD, 1 PR TD and 1 FR TD. Defensively 50 tackles, 21 for loss, 17 sacks and 3 ints.
His performance was so impressive he received and invite to play in the prestigious Eastbay All American game. Pappoe was also the runner up for the Dennis D Cavin Award given to the top Youth Football Player in the Nation! Several college scouts reported that Pappoe could be the top prospect in the class of 2019. Pappoe will attend National Power Grayson High School.
Pappoe was invited to attend the Ohio State Spring game April 18. He will be camping at Oregon, Clemson, Boston College and Georgia this summer.
No question in my mind this young phenom will be offered by someone prior to starting High School. Who will pull the trigger remains to be seen but one thing for sure this is a can’t miss kid!!
