Look out for this up and coming star of the Hazard High School Class of 2019! There is much to be seen from Skylar Pelfrey’s exemplary performance at wide receiver as a sophomore varsity leader. Running up and down the field week in and week out, there is incredible energy and dedication from this young “Duke” of a man… with still more development on the way.
Already weighing in at 200 and towering over the defense at 6’0”, power and speed allow Skylar to pummel his way through the opposition into the end zone at every opportunity. Considering the energy, essence and activity of “The Dukes of Hazzard” that so many of us admired on the big screen, these traits are buried to the core in Skylar’s weekly performance.
Having spent years gaining experience and skill on the field, there will be much more seen regularly from Skylar in his dedication to every moment of his athletic and academic career combined. Considering his personal statement provided in his NCSA Recruiting profile:
“My ultimate college goal is to play division I football, while acquiring a good education… Settling for anything but the best is my motto, and this goes for athletics and academics. I know what direction I want to go in life as far as my career goes and I do know division I football is where I want to be playing three years from now.”
There is much to be respected from this young man of already wonderful maturity and collaboration. Look out for every step of this team player over the next few years and what he will eventually be able to offer to the college or university lucky enough to add him to their roster.
