Placing grades first, Roman Purcell from Jersey City, New Jersey has a 4.0 GPA and a 24 ACT score. This talented Quarterback is leaving nothing to chance this season. He is both academically solid and athletically gifted. Before Roman stepped on to the football field at the 2017 Elite GA Showcase, he took an unofficial visit to Georgia Tech to tour their campus. Again, for Roman, it’s all about academics. Never too far from his side is his QB Coach and number one fan is his father, Rick. “It’s a team effort” said Rick, “I’m very proud of Roman. We both know what needs to be done. Our goal is to put the work in on and off the field and hopefully colleges coaches will put the offers on the table.”
When Purcell came to compete at the Elite GA Showcase, sponsored by Elite Talent Football Academy, he definitely passed the eye test. He stands at 6’1″ / 185lbs. Looking very impressive under Center, he throws an impressive deep ball and displays a high football IQ. This underclassman will for sure be the one to watch this Summer.
