He’s learned, from his father, that football and track is like a marriage and watching young Chandler Smith, you can tell that he loves both sports. He has been given the nickname “Roadrunner” and rightfully so, he runs a 23.95 in the 200m and is the current record holder for the Central Florida Youth Catholic Diocese. What does that translate to on the football field….WINNER.
He started playing flag football when he was a mere 5-years-old and has been running AAU track since 2014. Chances are, if you give him just the smallest bit of wiggle room, you won’t catch him. Chandler admits that he owes his success to his training team at D1 Sports Orlando, “It has made me bigger, stronger and faster,” he says.
