Pappoe Looking Impressive at The Opening
The Opening Finals is known as one of the elite events of the year and has been that way for a good while now. This year you’ll see the best of the best, 166 of the top prospects in the nation in one place to compete against each other.
Most of the prospects in attendance are rising seniors. There are some rising juniors that are good enough and lucky enough to be invited to this prestigious event. Never has a recruit as young as Owen Pappoe been invited to The Opening, the first freshman invitee in the history of the event.
When you think of it in that context, you’d expect the rising sophomore to get to Oregon and get his feet wet against guys one and two years older than himself. Well, this is “The Freak” and he doesn’t do things normal. The 6’0 200 pound athlete is already showing out in Oregon in multiple drills.
