Mississippi Monsters Turned Up The Grind In Ohio
Driven by the heart of a champion and fueled with the character and integrity of tomorrow’s challenges, the Mississippi Monsters showed up in Ohio with destiny in their hands. Why are they called monsters? Could it be for their angry appetite for demolishing any and all competitors? Maybe it’s for their aggressive style of which the opposition pales in comparison? To our surprise, “Mississippi Monster” is derived from an athletes commitment to their academics, taking into account their on-field success and highlighting their in-class accomplishments.
The Mississippi Monsters, all athletically gifted and exemplifying extraordinary character, will be highly sought after by colleges on the next level showcasing an impressive 3.5 GPA or greater. Joe Perkins has been lighting up the camp circuit, clearly making a name for himself this camp season. Alphonso Ray is no stranger to the Grind, catching the attention of several coaches, enjoys competing on the big stage. Needing little to no introduction to camp directors, 2019 Nicolas Rowan left Mississippi with a chip on his shoulder. Rowan goal was to compete in Canton Ohio at the NextGen camp ” THE SHOW” against some of the best athletes in the nation.
This day would belong to Rowan putting on a clinic going against some of the top athletes in the nation. Excelling across the board in all categories, Nick took home the MVP award for the offensive line position. Showing great technique with the ability to get off the ball quick and get his hips around really impressed the coaches. Rowan credited his success and training regimen to former NFL Player Dwight Johnson, owner of Total Athlete Sports Complex. Coach Johnson says, “With the God given abilities on his side and with continued training to refine and sharpen his technique, Rowan will do well this football season.”
