How many times have parents heard the words, “When I grow up I’m moving so far away from here”? It’s probably been more than once with teenagers in the house. But for Micaleous Elder, the sophomore running back from Cleveland, Tennessee, the desire to leave home isn’t to to run away from his parents…it’s to run toward his dream. That dream is to play football at the collegiate level. With his talent and the support of his parents he is certain to reach his goals.
This off-season the 5’9″ and 160 pound athlete is attending camps and combines to make sure he stays on top of his game. “They will help me learn more about the game and what it takes to get there,” he says. “It will help me in season on my technique and exposure.” Micaleous has already attended the VTO Combine and has plans to go to The Nike Combine and Adidas Camp. He also has plans to visit recruiting camps at Tennessee, Clemson and Georgia.
