“There is no limit to greatness, there is no limit to me”
If you’re an athlete, it’s certain that your contribution and performance is very important to you. And though there are numerous rewarding opportunities associated with being a student-athlete, there are those who struggle with balancing the academics and athletics. For 2021 athlete Jason Ward, the struggle is minimal. Holding on to a 4.0 GPA the freshman says for the most part, he was able to get his studies in. “I didn’t really have a problem,” he says. “I was good with my time management so I always made sure I got my homework done. Having a study hall in school also helped me make time to get my work done.”
So what is a typical day like for Jason during the season? Well he says he wakes up and attends a full day of classes, about 7 hours, hits the practice field, and after practice he’s in the weight room and running through drills. But his day isn’t over. He heads home to hit the books to keep his academics at its highest. And in case you’re wondering…yes he has an active social life. He even has time piano lessons.
Jason says his inspiration is greatness itself and there is no limit to greatness. Therefore, there is no limit for him.
