Michigan Head Football Coach Jim Harbaugh sits down with baseball legend Hank Aaron and Former Atlanta Mayor/ United States Ambassador Andrew Young before start of satellite camp.

755 times over the course of his 21 year career, Hank “The Hammer” Aaron swung a bat at a baseball and watched it land outside of the park. On hand to open up the satellite camp season at Maynard Jackson High School, the Hammer greeted Michigan Head Coach Jim Harbaugh who paid homage to Aaron by sporting his retired number 44 Atlanta Braves jersey. With the meat of the day focusing on high school athletes and exposure, Coach Harbaugh found it necessary to pause for a few minutes to sit down and talk about life with one of the greatest players that ever picked up a bat and national civil rights legend/Former Mayor of Atlanta/ United Sates Ambassador, Andrew”Andy “Young.  Sporting his infamous khaki pants and the always present Michigan cover, Coach Harbaugh seemed at home talking to the local icons with his signature coaching whistle draped over the Hammer’s jersey.  No stranger to success himself, Coach Harbaugh was a natural chatting it up with the 25 time Major League All Star. Recognizing the tremendous benefit to the urban youth in the Atlanta area, both Hank and Andy applauded the effort of Coach Harbaugh through the satellite camp circuit.  Taking an opportunity to embrace cultures and honor the greats, satellite camps are about more than just cone drills and shuttle runs.  Continue to follow the latest from the camp circuit here on the Play Book Network.
