Make no mistake about it, there have been a boatload of satellite camps this summer. These camps have proven to be very beneficial to the student athlete that is looking to get more exposure. Not only are the athletes getting maximum training from some of the best coaches across the nation, they’re getting to showcase their talents in front of coaching staffs they might not have been able to see without the benefit of the satellite camp. Many have even walked off with scholarship offers.
One of the most recent camps was held by Georgia Southern at Buford High School’s beautiful campus. Along with the Georgia Southern coaching staff was head coach Kirby Smart of UGA with some of his staff. Head coach Mike Bobo brought his staff all the way from Colorado State to lend their expertise and check out some of the best football players the state of Georgia has to offer.
