David Smith Jr. Has Something to Prove

2018 QB David Smith Jr.

While he may have only played in two games this past season, junior quarterback David Smith Jr. is proving that he is ready to take on a leading role.

With limited playing time, David was very impressive with 6 for 6 and a touchdown in one game and 5 for 7 with one touchdown in the other. During his sophomore year he threw 20 touchdowns. He’s also a threat in the running game posting a 4.53 in the 40 at a recent VTO Regional Combine held in Atlanta, Georgia.

The 6’3″ and 200 pound quarterback is headed to more camps this spring, the next being the Elite Georgia Showcase. He hopes to increase his skill set, gain some exposure and perhaps turn a few interests into college scholarships. That shouldn’t be hard to do, he has a strong arm and has a good eye for defense. Some of his accolades include a five-time Offense-Defense camp All-American, a NUC top performer and he was also invited to the Texas vs. The World game.

Smith will enter his senior season as a Loganville Red Devil with the confidence that he can compete among the best. He just needs to get the chance to prove it.
