2018 Running Back Riley Gibbs of Black River High School in Sullivan, OH had an amazing season. He posted 96 carries for 1048 yards with 17 TD’s. But it’s time for a different type of grind. Camp or Combine…which will it be?
College coaches want athletes to attend combines, so that they can get an independent evaluation on their speed, size, agility, etc, because they themselves are not allowed to attend. Coaches also want prospects to attend camps in the spring, so they can personally observe them. For Riley, it will be a little bit of both. He has been invited to a three day camp at East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. “The combines will allow me to show off my skills and athleticism,” he says. He hopes that attending these college camps and combines will help him with the extra exposure he needs to have as many eyes on him as possible.
