“…It’s easy when you love what you’re doing.”
It becomes really easy to find great football players in places like Atlanta, Houston, Detroit, Tampa, Los Angeles and even Washington DC. Most of the camps and combines hit those major cities. But what about that great athlete that lives in a small township or city that doesn’t host a major camp? Cities like Lake Geneva, Wisconsin…home of The Elegant Farmer who is famous for it’s signature Apple Pie Baked in a Paper Bag. Now that’s unexpected. Something else that’s unexpected…is a 2020 football player that plays three different positions.
Bryce Hall, a freshman at Badger High School plays on both the Freshman and Junior Varsity team. Playing Fullback, Linebacker and Kicker, Bryce draws his inspiration from his love and will to play the game. That love is evident in the stats that he produces. “The best advice that I was given was to play every down like it’s your last because you never know when it will be your last,” says Bryce.
Bryce’s biggest accomplishment thus far is having been chosen as co-captain for his team and to have also been given the opportunity to play on the JV team. He has been taught that you work hard for what you want and success will follow. Part of his success is a result of arriving at practice earlier than most to work on the little things and then staying after practice to work on them again. In addition to his workouts at school, Bryce travels 45 minutes outside of his Lake Geneva home to train with Brad Arnett and his staff at NX Level Athletics in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Bryce and his Freshman Badgers are 3-0 and are averaging 30 points per game. They haven’t allowed their opponents to score in any game. In just three games, Bryce himself has posted 352 rushing yards with three touchdowns. He also has an impressive six solo-tackles, 20 assists, four forced fumbles and three sacks. He’s managed to hit 8/12 of his extra point attempts.
Coaches should take notice of this student athlete who maintains a 4.5 grade point average and who was recently chosen to represent Badger Athletics at the SLC Summit as a student athlete leader. This small city has just as much football star power as some of the larger ones. And 2020 Bryce hall is bringing you a little bit of that “unexpected greatness.”
