7ft / 440lbs “Big John Krahn” Excited About Attending Georgia Prep Sports Academy This Season
It is a firm belief of many that you have to win in the trenches to win football games. This becomes more important when you get to the college level and the competition gets tougher. Many coaches talk about wanting to get bigger on the offensive and defensive lines, but Coach Michael Carson at Georgia Prep Sports Academy is taking that thought to an entirely different level.
Next Friday the biggest football player that we know of will make his way to GPSA and play this season for the Lions. John Krahn is a 7 foot 440 pound lineman from Riverside California. In addition to the video above, he has been featured on CBS, ESPN, and USA Today.
Coach Carson and his staff are very excited to have Krahn joining the GPSA team this year and thinks the big man has a bright future ahead of him. He actually moves pretty well and is pretty athletic for a guy his size. He’ll definitely be the first off the bus and will lend an intimidating presence on the football field.
Krahn has played football since the 8th grade and has also played basketball for a long time. He gave up basketball in the 11th grade to concentrate on football. One of the highlights of his career is when he recently played in the USA vs. Canada game in Arlington Texas. While he played on the offensive line most of the game, he also scored a 7 yard touchdown when he was put in as a running back!
