With the sun still sleeping, buried beyond the horizon, and a country full of grind ahead of them, Sound Mind Sound Body (SMSB) left Detroit, Michigan and set out for the 2018 “Spring Break College Bus Tour.” Touting a program unmatched by most in basically each statistical category, SMSB Founder and CEO Curtis Blackwell showcases a brand that has no problem filling passenger buses with top athletes from Detroit and around the nation. Challenged by a few athletes never before having the opportunity to leave their home of Detroit, Blackwell shared how this tour had been a dream of his since he was kid. Outfitted with a staff committed to exposing and growing the youth, the SMSB tour hit major colleges and universities on the way to a grind session in Atlanta. With stops at U of Maryland, Hampton, Howard, Georgia Tech, Georgetown, Kennesaw State. Bowie State, Georgia State, Norfolk State, Morehouse, Old Dominion and Clark Atlanta, Blackwell described his passion behind SMSB by saying,”It’s all about the kids.” There is no doubt that exposure leads to opportunity.
