WHY I GRIND

Losing the 2015 Maryland 2A State Championship game by a score of 21-20 was devastating.  Entering the fourth quarter with a 20-7 lead, the trophy was within our sights.  Despite the loss, my teammates and I worked even harder than before to ensure a different result for the following season. So far, we are off to a 6-0 start and have allowed just 14 points all season. My experience playing in significant games has provided me with the confidence I need to continue to make plays for my team.
As a competitor, the most important aspect of the game to me is finding a way to win. Through my experiences, I have learned the value of commitment, as well as the work-ethic required to be successful. I have not only demonstrated success in athletics, but in the classroom as well. I hope to find an institution that will benefit me both athletically and academically.  Also, as a varsity basketball starter and captain, I have a well-rounded competitive background outside of football. Hopefully I will be given the opportunity to utilize my leadership qualities, athletic abilities, and desire to win in your program.
