“May not be perfect…but can ALWAYS try 2 be”

Speed and quickness are usually some of the attributes associated with the skilled positions in football. Mile High Academy Middle School’s Zaire Jackson is filled with both. So much so, he goes by the nickname “Sweet Feet”. Where did that name come from? He says the name was given to him by his little league coach when he was just a mere 6-years-old. “Every time I would get the ball and start running, I would run right out of my shoes…would still be able to score or do what I needed without my shoe,” Zaire says.

The qualities that Zaire has don’t just happen overnight. It takes hard work, diligence and discipline. Zaire knows the value of an opportunity and takes advantage of each one that becomes available. He’s attended numerous camps like The Show, NextGen AA Camp, TopGun, FBU Camp and Valor HS Camp. He also attended the USA Regional Camp and participated in the USA Developmental Games in Ohio. He spent most of his off-season time traveling with Weapon X which is a traveling high school 7-vs-7 team. In addition to attending exposure camps, Zaire attends early morning training sessions at SixZero Strength and Fitness, located in Centennial, Colorado.

Zaire is a do-it-all type of athlete and rarely comes off of the field. He plays both Wide Receiver and Cornerback. He models himself after his favorite NFL player Deion Sanders and hopes to play in college. What other goals does Zaire have for himself this season? Well he wants to make at least 100 tackles, 20 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. This seems like a tall order for this class of 2021 athlete, but Zaire is up for the challenge.
